The Trip

Seven nights on the wildest stretch of the Algarve, six days chasing waves from Arrifana to Carrapateira, and RSJ coaching in the water every session. A small crew — eight surfers, maximum — a lodge with a log fire, and a shooter on the beach so you actually see what you are doing out there.

Where we surf is decided each morning by the swell, the wind and the tide. Two to four sessions a day, the whole west coast of the Algarve to pick from, and the coaching structured across the week so day six looks nothing like day one.

Sunday to Sunday from Bristol — 2h40 in the air, no jet lag, no visa. Flights are not included; we tell you exactly which one to book.

🏄

RSJ coaching, every session

In the water with you every session — a structured daily curriculum, live feedback between waves, and two coaches out there when the crew is big enough.

🎥

Nightly video analysis

You are filmed through the day. Each evening we break the footage down with your coach in the lodge lounge, by the fire, so tomorrow’s session is built on what today showed.

📸

A shooter on the beach

Professional photography and videography of your surfing all week, with post-session analysis. Yours to keep.

🌊

Six surf days, one coast

Two to four sessions a day, the spot picked on the swell each morning. Daily surf transport to every break included.

Where We Might Surf

The spot is decided each morning on the swell, the wind and the tide — and on what the crew is ready for. Here is the menu.

Arrifana

Intermediate–Advanced

Long right-hand point off the headland when the swell is up; beach break peaks the rest of the time. Our home break.

Monte Clérigo

Intermediate

Wide, forgiving beach break ten minutes north — the warm-up and the small-day option.

Amado

Intermediate–Advanced

Consistent beach break with room for everyone; handles size well.
